Parade time

Today I danced on a float in the 4th of July parade.  It was crazy fun.  I don't have a bucket list but if I did, it would be on it.
I'm the on in the pink with the big money necklace.  Cause I'm so money.

Dancing on a moving float in high heels is not an easy thing to do.  That's why I look more like I'm trying to keep my balance than dance...because I'm trying to keep my balance.

It was a long hot day and my back did not love it.  But that's what God invented Ibufrofen for.

Actually, I hear if you have MS you aren't supposed to take Ibuprofen. But I haven't been able to kick the habit.

Berry Picking!

One of my favorite things in the whole wide world is eating raspberries off the vine.
And today, I got to eat until bursting.

Here's my girl, filling a container so we can keep that nice bloated feeling going.

I also really enjoy picking and eating strawberries, but today as I leaned over bush after bush, feeling my back spasm, I decided that I was perfectly happy buying my strawberries at the local market.

Port Townsend

Today was shopping in Port Townsend with my girl.
It's not the greatest photo. I took it from the car as we were heading out of town (while stopped.) I had meant to take one while walking down the picturesque streets but at the beginning we were freezing and looking for cheap sweatshirts and the rest of the time I had to pee.  Mostly I forgot. That and my new purse is so tiny that to take out my phone I pretty much have to pour the contents on the floor.

But I digress. We found a few second hand stores among the boutiques and galleries and managed to make some good purchases. Lise kept trying to get me to try on size 4 dresses which was both annoying and amusing. "Thanks, honey, but that would be the most depressing trip to the dressing room I've had in a while." Then we had a nice light lunch and went home. No tinglies or leg pain.

I did have some sparkly hot weirdness in bed while flopping around trying to get comfortable. That was probably more related to sweltering at the pool during Lise's diving practice than walking around Port Townsend. Or it was just related to flopping around in bed, wishing I could get comfortable.

Manicure time

Today was another hot one. Lise and I shelved the outdoor activities in favor of getting manicures. I have never had a manicure, and now I remember why. After having this lovely Chinese girl painstakingly paint my nails, I managed to ruin it in the first two minutes.

Hey, I had to go to the bathroom.

In my defense, Lise was more careful and her manicure washed away as soon as we got into the pool.  Perhaps we were stupid to go to the pool right after getting manicures, but how long are you supposed to refrain from activity after having your nails done? That's just ridiculous. Which leads me back to why I don't get manicures...or paint my nails even. Who has an hour to sit around holding their hands in the air? Even if I had it, I would go insane. I have to do something with my hands all the time. Which means I'd better keep my hands out of wood chippers and other choppy mashy equipment.

So, here's my $20 manicure.  One good nail out of four.  Nice.
